This video impacted me in a way that I cannot even put in words. Please watch and then read my personal response below. PS share this post with your friends, people need to see this! It truly holds a special place in my heart.

Wow... I have tears streaming down my face. I am so convicted of the lifestyle on the left. Our world is full of materialism. We have the option everyday to go through the motions and get caught up in the little things of life. It is so easy for us to focus on what we do not have instead of focusing on the amazing, incredible things God has blessed us with. Instead of focusing on helping others in need we get caught up in our image, facebook drama, how many followers we have on instagram and what our plans are this weekend.

HEAR THIS, none of those are bad things. However, when those things take the place of our purpose in life then they become lethal. We have a calling to help others. 4 years ago I went on a missions trip to Venezuela. We had the privilege of visiting a hospital there. When I walked through the dirty, rusty metal doors, I was so overcome with emotion, I instantly wanted to leave. Sick and distraught people lined the hallways waiting to be treated. There was a man laying on a gurney, holding his own IV yelling for help. There were kids laying on the ground in a puddle of sweat crying. Women with true looks of hopelessness gazing at me. As I walked through the chaos it was like everything was moving in slow motion. I honestly couldn't handle the atmosphere because I instantly wanted to help everyone. We finally got to our destination, the children's unit. I walked in and instantly choked back uncontrollable sobs. There were children lined up bed by bed with no privacy. It was packed! They were being treated with old equipment and the conditions were dirty and unsanitary. However, that day I met the most amazing, happy and optimistic kids in the world. Most of all, they were ALIVE!!! No, not just living, but ALIVE! They were truly alive because they found joy in life. We chatted, colored, prayed, cried and laughed. When I left I felt a sting on pain that I will never forget. That is a moment that can never be taken from me.

This video brings up every emotion I felt that day, the pain, joy, sadness, laughter, tears and everything in between. PLEASE, please watch this video and let it change your mindset. People are what matter in this world. People are what will last, things won't. Money will perish. Looks will dwindle. Cars will breakdown. But, PEOPLE, people will last. After reading this, facebook, your image, instagram, your "stuff"... does it all seem as important? Start the change today, because today someone needs you.
